1) “Life is short, so love, maiden” is a Japanese proverb which Imai also invoked in the lyrics to Buck-Tick’s song, “Cyborg Dolly : Soramimi : Phantom,” on the album One Life, One Death. The implied meaning of the proverb is that one should indulge in sensual pleasures while one is alive - i.e., don’t bother to stay a virgin, get yourself some lovin’!
